Supervision is one of the toughest bullets in our job descriptions. Most supervisors are not taught to supervise but expected to handle it all well. Are you ready to supervise in a different, better and more effective way? Coaching as a supervisory practice builds stronger relationships with supervisees and team members, encourages employees to take greater responsibility over their own work, develop and hone their own problem-solving skills, and creates space for the supervisor to focus on the core responsibilities of their job. This session focuses on developing a solid “Coaching Habit”, delivers knowledge on the concept of the 7 levels of awareness and energy, gives attendees tools to incorporate coaching into their daily supervision practice, and encourages attendees to develop a personally effective style of leadership that positively influences and changes not only themselves, but also those with whom they supervise. This program is sponsored by Alpha Chi Omega.
Attendees will learn about and understand the concept of the 7 levels of awareness and energy, and how they are related to leadership excellence.
Attendees will be introduced to coaching as a supervisory practice and the benefits it can bring to their team.
Attendees will be given a step-by-step plan to implement coaching as a supervisory practice.
